What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aseptic Equipment Maintenance Technician with certification in Tetra Pak equipment to join our team in ensuring the smooth operation of our dairy foods manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing preventive maintenance on Tetra Pak machinery, troubleshooting equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Your expertise in maintenance tools and equipment, as well as your knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components, will be essential in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our production equipment. Preferred candidates should have Tetra certifications, especially in A3 Speed Line.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance actions and tasks assigned, documenting maintenance procedures and instructions for specific equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls throughout the factory, diagnose equipment issues, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Independently troubleshoot equipment problems using structured problem-solving methodologies to identify failure causes and anomalies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of preventive maintenance (PM) strategies within the Plant area.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel in rebuilding and redesigning production equipment as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and teams to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.
  • Set up and operate fabrication tools and equipment, such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and mills, as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance field, preferably in an industrial/production setting.
  • Experience in the food packaging or converting industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components, including controls/PLCs.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in the use of maintenance tools and equipment, such as lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, etc.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Intermediate computer skills and basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and Tetra Pak Manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualification

  • Tetra Pak Operator A3 Speed Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and controls, including troubleshooting and programming of PLCs.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and SAP software.

Key Outputs and Measurements:

  • Active participation in regular preventive maintenance activities.
  • Minimize machine/equipment downtime and achieve downtime targets by effectively addressing short stops and breakdowns.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues in implementing Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) practices, including removing red tags.
  • Accurately report all activities in SAP and the Plant Maintenance Module, promptly resolving reported problems according to the maintenance plan.
  • Maintain the maintenance spare parts store to ensure availability when needed.
  • Successfully complete preventive maintenance activities within designated timeframes.
  • Adhere to Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) compliance ratio and targets, and maintain 5S standards in all maintenance areas.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to climb and work at elevated locations.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, squat, pull, operate and move equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Occasionally weekends

PAY: Depending on experience
